Air ticket fares are expensive in April, May, and June due to peak summer travel demand, the end of the school year, and increased fuel surcharges. High demand, combined with limited seat availability, leads to higher prices, especially during popular holiday periods. 

 

Here’s why ticket prices are high in those months:

 

Peak Summer Season & School Break: April, May, and June are peak tourist months. Many families travel during this period.

 

End of School Year/Long Weekends: The end of the academic year causes students and families to travel to their home provinces or vacation spots.

 

Fuel Surcharges Increase: Fuel surcharges are set to increase in April, adding extra costs.

 

Limited Seats/High Demand: Many travellers book in advance for these months, causing, in part, higher fares for the remaining, limited seats.

 

Holiday Travel: Specific holidays, such as Holy Week in the Philippines, further increase demand and therefore prices, particularly at the end of March through April. 

 

To mitigate high costs, travelers are encouraged to book early and be flexible with their travel dates to avoid peak periods, such as Fridays and Sundays.
